Hi Everyone,
This is a quick reminder that the next Aurora Philosophy Club meeting will be held on October 22, 2019 between 7 - 8:30 pm in the Optimist Room (located on the second floor) of the Aurora Public Library.
For this meeting we will have the first ever Agora Night. As you may know the word Agora (pronounced ah-go-RAH) is Greek for 'open place of assembly' and, early in the history of Greece, designated the city's marketplace where citizens bought and sold goods, discussed politics, military campaigns, as well as philosophical ideas. Some of the most revered philosophers to frequent the Agora include Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle.
This meeting will include a variety of presentations by various club members, meant to pique your philosophical curiosity, on various subjects relevant to our day-to-day life.
This should be a very interesting night and we hope to see you all there.
Regards,
The Aurora Philosophy Club Steering Committee
